Visco Foam and its effects on the human body
If you wake up in the middle of the night because you suffer from body aching, tossing and turning and restless leg syndrome, it may be time to get rid of your old bed and try something new. I am referring to beds and mattresses that contain visco foam. visco foam mattresses are known to give people the best nights sleep imaginable.
NASA developed Visco foam to decrease the extreme amounts of pressure caused by G. forces during take off and space shuttles. After developing Visco foam NASA decided not to use it. The result has landed Visco foam being used in the medical field and by mattress companies all over the world.
Mattress manufacturers jump all over viso foam because of its ability to elevate pressure points while sleeping. The main problem when mattress company started using viscoelastic foam, was its extremely high price. The general public could not readily afford to pay for mattresses that use viscoelastic foam. However in recent years it has become less expensive to produce and now is widely available in almost everyone’s price range.
The most common use of visco foam, is in mattresses, mattress topper’s, and pillows. It’s a really to retain heat, has allowed many people with aching bodies to fill better throughout their nights sleep, because of the added heat. They visco foam mattress tends to be quite a bit more dense than an ordinary foam mattress making it more supportive, but the same time it is a lot heavier.
With this in mind, any mattress containing visco foam will usually be more expensive than a traditional bed, however a visco elastic foam mattress will last longer than a traditional mattress viscoelastic foam is made from polyurethane with additional chemicals added to it that help increase its density and viscosity levels. Due to these chemicals added, new visco foam mattresses give off a distinct chemical odor that will decrease over time.
