Paddle to inner peace
You wish the world to be a better place? Begin with yourself. I think a step closer to inner peace is being more in nature. So why not try the inflatable way.
The fast pace is taking its toll on many people and nature can be a place for acquiring peace. It’s an environment with striking tranquility and beauty.
One part of nature that nearly everyone can connect to is water. It may have something to do with the spending place of our first months of existence.
Boating is usually a pleasant experience for people, but there are numerous other different water activities to do. I want you take a look at what an inflatable kayak has to offer.
What’s so special about inflatable kayaks? In numerous ways they are inferior to traditional hard-shell kayaks, like in speed and rigidness.
But, even though they are not as fast or sturdy, the inflatable kayak has great advantages. They have evolved from low quality playthings, to water vehicles that can be trusted and used in rough water conditions.
So, what’s real advantage with an inflatable kayak? I’ll tell you in three words: It is portable. It’s really not much larger than a medium-sized handbag.
Well, isn’t a hard-shell kayak easy to handle also? Indeed, compared to a traditional boat it’s similar to a toy. However, the hard-shell needs to be transported on top of a car while an inflatable kayak resides inside.
For an individual who paddles a lot, the ease of transport is an important matter. Everybody tries to optimize life and get as much out of it as possible.
Think of carrying the kayak from its storing place, strap it to the car (if the roof-rack is on). Then returning home, repeat this a couple of times a week and you get the picture. I am an enthusiast, so I normally do it anyway, but I rather not.
I try to concentrate on doing more of the things I enjoy and less of the rest (yes I do pay tax). Sunny outside? I dress, jump into the car and go paddling, almost too easy.
Inflatable kayaks normally cost less then a hard-shell, you can get everything from conventional touring kayaks to white-water wave kayaks. There are models that can accommodate one or two persons, so you don’t have to go by yourself.
