Green Your Cleaning and Save Money Too!
When it comes to using green cleaning products as a way of helping our environment, there is a wide range of opinion. Many of us think that they are just too expensive to both with, but in truth we are probably wasting our money on the products we currently use.
All it takes is a few simple ingredients, and you can clean your whole home. Not to mention the fact that you could even make green cleaning products yourself from scratch – for a fraction of the price! It really isn’t too hard to take the first steps to go green.
What is so Bad About Commercial Cleaning Products?
There is actually no law forcing manufacturers to label all of the ingredients that go into our cleaning products, which is why it’s very shocking to hear that a number of the ingredients haven’t even been tested for safety on humans!
What makes things a lot worse is that these ingredients are flowing through our body even if we don’t realise it. They fill the air of our homes, and are in all of the clothes we wear.
Not only are the health risks shocking enough, but we also need to realise that the ingredients are flushed int our water streams, which harms the environment in many different ways. We don’t need to do this!
A Healthy Alternative
You don’t have to go out and spend loads of money to start going green. Just wait until some of your current cleaning products have been used up, and you can save the spray bottle to store some of your own healthy and green cleaning recipes.
Some of the most popular ingredients to use include lemon juice, since it’s antibacterial. You can also use vinegar and bicarbonate of soda, which are very powerful for a wide range of cleaning applications.
You might not have the time to create all of your cleaning products from scratch, and if that’s the case then try buying eco-friendly brands like eCover. While this may cost more, you can save money by buying in bulk. There are also natural laundry options that can last around a thousand washes, ultimately working out a lot cheaper than your current detergent!
To make things easier, you can make these changes gradually and still make a difference. In a short amount of time you’ll be left wondering why you ever needed to rely on toxic cleaning products in the first place!

Here is a green cleaning tips to clean your microwave:
Mix 1/2 of water with a few teaspoons of baking soda in a microwave safe bowl. Put the bowl in the microwave and run it for 2 minutes. Take out the bowl and wipe it clean with just a rag; every last spot will come out!
Its very effective and much safer than spraying chemicals where your food is going to be heated up
